Hi,
I was crazy and got the money, started to buy domains... dreaming to have time to build them :)
Now, I am broke :D and I can't anymore afford to pay 600+ domains ( cost of each like 10$/year) + dedicated server (+200$/month)... I got only 10% are fine and setup... most of them blogs...
I need your to help me what to do with them:
- Do I drop what I do not see it is really fancy name to keep? (keeping in mind most of them are clean (never used to spam) and they are old (owned them +4 years)
=> This solution will make me feel, I simply lost my money for all the time!
- Do I setup blogs there and ask people to add their text (to help them gaining back links and I will also get content, then I can add my google ads?
- Do you have any suggestion ? Please write me I will appreciate any single word so much!
Ben.

Have you considered parking them with a company?
If some are decent and get direct traffic, you get paid by the parked company. I used parked dot com
Hope this helps

Well, I tried before to park some, I do not think parking is a good solution, it will take time from you to setup the DNS etc... after that you wont make 1$ per day out of 100 domains! so I believe (of course from my personal experience) parking is only making money to the company, not to you!

my advice is simple.....
cut your losses....
do the following, select the top / best 20% monetisers,
and dispose of the 80%, and take it on the chin.
Lean and mean can go a long way in IM / domaining.
also, do not be too altrustic in the names of the domains,
since you are not emotionally attached to them (only financially attached),
be brave and focus on what is working, and scale it up, because if you do that,
then you will come back meaner, leaner, and more profitable in a years time,
time to dispose of the baggage..... who knows?, perhaps you will be in a better position in 1 years time to buy whats left, and then develope those sites in the future.
Good Luck

Many thanks to you :)
I do agree with you, or at least I feel this is what I should do... but you defined that I am attached only financially to them... the fact is I am attached to them, it is really funny... when you buy something you do not want to see it going away from you...
I might start dropping some meaningless domains, but I feel, the best if I just setup blogs and ask people to post there related subject, but I will fall into more trouble which is spammers!

my advice is to s-e-l-l it
for exemple make a liste of premuim domains and sel-l it for $$$ ,second list for $$ , and others s-e-l-l it for 5 or 6 dollar for eatch domain.;)

Sure, I will consider this option :)
thank you for passing by!

Sell on DP pack of 500 quality domains for 10K... Advertise them and stuff. There are bunch of people with to much money in DP and WF...

I'd start selling all of the ones that are not making back their registration fee. If you are unable to get rid of the unprofitable domains, just take the lose and drop them. There is no reason to continue to renew domain names just because you've previously done this. I'd only renew names that are making money to pay for their reg or have the potential to make more than their reg in the future. Even if you end up with only 20-50 domains at the end of the day; these will be profitable names. Clear your portfolio out of all the junk that is eating away at your profits.

xpcontact...

send me a list of ur domains.. the ones u havent developed, and maybe plan to sell..

we might work sth out..

dropping them would be a shame i think..

shoot me a pm.. greets..

Hey XP,

P. M. me. I would be interested in looking at them and buying several if they are decent.

Have you thought of setting up autoblogs for the majority of them?

If you read in other threads, that is not the best idea, beside is time consuming... and if I go the time :) I would make something better and real which makes profits.

for everyone who is asking my list, I have no time to make the list, because I need to go through all the registrar and select the ones I do not need (godaddy, moniker, resellerclub, enom)
if you know how to get the list via whois, this is one of my domain logopub.net

This is a good idea, sure that will make me feel better :) I will consider this!

Any other suggestion? what about your own experience on owning many domains? was it just waste of time and money? or? what advertisers you are using ?

Well if you become serious about selling your domains, make a list and send me a P.M. A reverse whois on all your other domains carries a huge fee. I am interested, but not going to bend over backwards to see your list. You should have it compiled in your registar accounts anyway...just copy and paste.

Slap an autoblog on each of them and sell cheap. like 15-20$ per blog and you make some profit.
