I have already got my domain + hosting. The problem is I don't know what method works well.. That's why I'm confused.
Save your money for now. You specifically said you don't know what method works well and are confused on where to start. Don't rely on others to spoon feed you the answer to your question. Take a couple months and read on BHW and other learning sources, learn the basics and think about what you think you would be interested in starting out with. Once you have a plan and the "know-how" then you can buy a domain and hosting and implement your new found knowledge and skills.
You just have to try it. Choose one method, stick with it! try it and see if its working for you! if you fail TRY AGAIN!
For Example: (Monetize a Niche Site)
> You can build a site that's promoting amazon products and its linked to your Amazon affiliate (you get commission for every sale)
> of-course you would have to build link to your site!
> You can also promote Click Bank products , Commission Junction, JvZoo and more!
> or create your own product and promote it! (Create a video training course / Create an eBook)

For typical and long term business, Domain and hosting is the best way. But if you want to earn more for a small span of time, you must learn about trading. Though all businesses has risk , but the greatest risk has greater return. As long as you know how to handle it you can find ways.

Set up a couple of websites and try out adsense, affiliate marketing and ppd. Dont put all your money on tools or seo services yet, do those yourself till you understand it all well.
