Hi, I've got my blog "the-computer-wizard-uk.blogspot.com" and I was just wondering if there is any way I can speed up getting indexed. I post about 5 times a day and I've only added adsense.

Thanks guys

generate backlinks from high PR websites. The more backlinks the faster indexing. The higher PR the faster Indexing.

Search here for ******** or Backlinks and you'll find lots.

I was indexed in just 3 days (not great, but good enough for me), but commenting on about 30 ******** blogs using commentluv or keywordluv. I did NOT leave spam msg's. I skimmed their blogs, most of the time you'll know something about the subject anyways (since they are related to your niche), so you can make a relevant comment without reading it all.

If you leave good comments, they won't delete, leaving you a backlink.

Most of the sites I found were PR2, some PR4. Anwyways, do that you'll get indexed. Also bookmark each post at bookmarking sites. The more the better.

You can also submit a sitemap through google webmaster tools. The fastest way i have found to get indexed is submitting your site or articles to digg.

Use the hell out of each search engines services. Open a google/gmail account. Use it to make a blogspot blog and a google page. Use both to create a link to your blog. Feed your blog through feedburner. Save a link to it on igoogle. Go to MSN/LIve. Create a livespaces blog. Link to your blog. Yahoo... link to your blog on yahoo360, geocities, and my.yahoo.com . If you're feeling industrious, turn this into a blogfarm creating crosslinks between all pages. Oh, and I almost forgot make an Orkut profile using your google login and include a link to your site in the profiel + creat a Myspace blog with a linkback.

... was assuming you already had a sitemap. I also tend to ping the hell out of a long list of services on my blogs. (God I hate blogging....) This is probably overkill:

Thank you, all of you. Lots of great tips. Ill get to work! :)

First make sure you ping your blog, and then after new content/update.

You can use either:
Code:
pingomatic.com
pingoat.com

Then submit your rss feed to a few agregators like:

Code:
http://www.millionrss.com/
http://www.feedage.com/

After that, bookmark at the following sites:

Code:
digg.com
propeller.com
cloudytags.com
jumptags.com
mixx.com
backflip.com
blinkList.com
buddyMarks.com
del.icio.us
flikr.com
furl.com

Should have you indexed within about 12 - 24 hrs. Sometimes faster.

And sometimes putting an ad up on free classifieds can bring similar results with you url. Like backpage or domesticsale.

Top things to do are
-Submit to social bookmarking sites
-Ping different websites
-Make a blogspot blog with a post about your site

Sorry for the stupid question, but what does "pinging" do?

Thanks for all your help guys!

It tell the sites you have put up some new content and send the spiders check it out possibly :)

couldn't agree more with what timbor said. go for senuke or bookmarkingdemon

better yet outsource the indexing problems to someone with too much time on their hands. it will cost you less than $30 the most

I've got SE nuke, but I dont really get how you can use it?

Thanks again for all your help everyone

It lets web services know that you've published a post, and google (etc) checks those services and sends spiders.

Ripped from some blog somewhere...
under ‘Options' -> ‘Writing' in your Wordpress Admin Dashboard, where it automatically pings services. This means that each time you publish a new blog post, Wordpress will keep places such as Technorati up to date with your latest information. For example, if you go to ‘Options' -> ‘Writing' and you enter in http:// rpc.technorati.com/rpc/ping in the text box right at the bottom of the page, Wordpress will ping Technorati each time you publish an article

For quick indexing I am using

XRumer (just profile registration) (prefered)

or autopligg

or a single digg which is completely sufficient

Dont want to read whole thread so it may be already said.

In short...
Ping your blog, submit it to rss feed agregators (rss submit is good software for those 2), make backlinks to your blog, ping and submit to agregators rss feeds from the sites where you placed backlinks.
With this method I usually get index in couple hours.

This is excactly what I do. Normally just takes a day to get it indexed. Just as jay said :)

Thanks for all your posts guys :).

For example, how do you use the RSS feed submission?

Thanks once again for all your help
