What can be considered as a balanced Anchor Text Variations ?

Below are anchor text variations for one of my pages

80% is "used cars"
20% is "used car"

Am I doing it right? Will the 80-20 % combination hurt my rankings in search engines?

that is everything but balanced... unless your site is usedcars.com

Perhaps I have misunderstood the post but I only ever have a max of 3 (usually 2) anchor links on any one page and each one is different.
