I've been out of this game for as while but have recently picked up a site I wish to promote up the rankings.

What is current recommended practise for a new site? What should I be hitting it with?

It's probably been over a year since I was last involved in blackhat seo so all advice would be great

PBN's and parasite links seem pretty hot right now.

Things are pretty much the same as this time last year, as far as what works.

All the usual contexuals, i.e pbns, web2.0s, parasites etc.
I've heard the term parasite sites a lot over the last day or so. Can someone tell me how parasite sites differ from what has always been done? I.e. with quality web2.0s pointing to money site and then shit on tier 2?

Parasite pages are just those authority pages that pop up for your brand name (Facebook, Google+, etcetera). Some people try to spam these pages since they're resistant to penalties in order to increase their rankings for SEO or reputation management purposes.

Pretty well after panda update, things remain same PBN and web 2.0 are the main thing now.
yep, web 2.0 & tiered links do work, just don't use link wheel and try 301 redirects within tiered links.
For PBN, better start building your own network, start small and grow it

Let start promote content marketing through social network site like FB, Twitter, Pinterest, G+
Dont wait for SEO

Build all link types as you need both diversity of platforms and diversity of anchors.

web2.0s, press releases, PBN domains - the usual from a year ago still works great.

Start off with making manual web 2.0 sites with quality content. Link them to your money site. Increase authority of web 2.0 by adding more tiers. For competitive keywords, Make a private blog network using expired domains and link to money site.

PBN domains and Web 2.0 sites seems good.

Link building services.web2.0s, press releases are still works for a site.

I usually start with quality private blog posts until I see some keyword movements. Then i'll go for more aggressive campaigns such as GSA, 301 redirects and SAPE.
