You can do one of two things.

1.) (The thing 90%+ of BHWers are doing.) Shitting their pants. Crying. Whining. Complaining that they lost rankings. Adding to the rumors of "what link building works now" and "oh no, Google killed link building" bs.

    2.) Continue as usual.

    Choice is yours.

most of the updates don't really make much difference (in my opinion) but what gets me annoyed is the number of threads hyping up the updates as if they have changed SEO for ever. The first time I noticed this update was when reading threads here, nothing in my rankings told me there was an update and its really just playing into Matts hands, he posts about an update and then everyone panics and they change their websites not to recover but to try and avoid the update which probably won't effect them. Matt is playing a smart game, make people change their sites to try and avoid something that won't effect them instead of still ranking and maybe just maybe being hit by the update. The fear of the update causes more change in the SERPs as people prepare their sites instead of the actual update itself.

Penguin, Panda and all are nothing more than surnames. Build legit sites and get decent backlinks, no update would affect you.

It appears that a Penguin update has been rolling out over the last few days. I just had a site come back from the dead.

I think the Illuminati are behind it all, I know what you are thinking but hear me out. If something is not going your way, make something up and blame it on that, easy isn't it.

Google released a series of algorithm updates called Panda with the first appearing in February 2011. Panda aimed at downranking websites that provided poor user experience.

And in January 2012, so-called page layout algorithm update was released, which targeted websites with little content above the fold.
The strategic goal that Panda, Penguin, and page layout update share is to display higher quality websites at the top of Google's search results. However, sites that were downranked as the result of these updates have different sets of characteristics. The main target of Google Penguin is spamdexing (including link bombing).

Hope this info will be helpful for you! thank's and regards.

Hope the next Penguin will come soon. Have some websites that wait to recover from Penguin Update. Everything important is done (e.g. Disavow), but now we all have to wait!

    Thanks SEOking222!

Lets all hope that our other websites don't get a new hit, too :D But I think we all have to admit that Google is getting better and better in penalizing spammy websites!
