what are your thoughts on google plus seo?

Check out this article, says google will start using +1 button to determine results. What do you think?

I good thing I read in one of those articles. Matt Cutts says don't plan for what is working today, plan for what will be working in the future. Or something like that.
+1 may not have an affect right now, but you can bet it will. Same with twitter and FB.
It's just common sense. If thousands of people are tweeting about X site, they are doing it for a reason. So why shouldn't it have some SE value?

I know I guess a good g+ bot will teach them a lesson...
The creation of gmails is a pain in the ass.... In my opinion if that's the case big g just made it very ez to rank in SERPS... Instead of stoping us they just gave us a window, I'll like and 1+ all day

i think to a minor extend it will improve your rank a bit if you have more +1 however i think the main purposes of +1 are/will be:

• to share websites/searchresult with other people on google plus. especialy your friends
• make it possible to search for friends on google plus with the same prefered websites (some sort of shared interest)
• in the future when google plus is more established it will prolly be able to let the +1 of people in your circkels(your friends) to affect the way search results are shown for you when logged in on your google plus account

so in short: yes it will minorly increase your ranking but not enough to make it worthwhile to create mass gmail accounts as thats as mentioned in a earlier reply "a pain in the ass"
