What are your experiences with Chartboost, Ironsource, Applovin ?

Hi,
The cheapest installs I always get is from Google Ads in compared to Chartboost, Ironsource, AppLovin and other popular ad networks. I wonder if any of you guys ever tried these networks and were succesfull ?
Currently, the price I am paying to Google Ads in USA is $0.50 per install but to Applovin I pay $2.00. How do these guys even compete with Google ?
