So we all know that knowledge of the markets is not all that makes you money. But experience also teaches us a lot. I believe experience teaches much more.

So I thought of creating this thread. Why don't we all share some of our biggest gains and losses in the market. PLEASE INCLUDE YOUR LOSSES as I noticed most people don't talk about their losses and this gives a very very false impression of financial markets. So please talk about your biggest losses as well as your biggest gains.

For me, my biggest gain came from BITMEX (derivatives platform). I went 50x on a trade and got approximately 5000% in 24 hours. I was unbelievable. This was back in 2017.

My biggest loss is that I lost every single bit of that money trying to replicate the same thing.

Lessons learned: Respect the market. Risk management and position sizing is the most underrated aspect of trading.

Biggest gain was with shiba inu recently though I invested a big amount also. About 20℅ return in 2 days.

i Never used to be in Future trading but yes i Got so much of Profit by Holding Bitcoin from past couple of years

My biggest gain is probably CRO. I bought it early at $0.1 and I'm still HODLing. I even use the Crypto.com card for a nice CRO cashback.
My biggest loss (in terms of percentage) was a shitcoin advertised on this forum that turned out to be a rug pull. Fortunately, I only invested like $100.
I would also add my biggest regret: I bought Luna at $4 earlier this year and sold it at $7. Look at the price of Luna now.
just remember: profit is only profit if you cash it out!
So many HODLers think they have "profit", but if it's not cashed out, it can quickly disappear...
I never cash out, or at least, not in my bank account. If I make a nice profit I turn it into stablecoins with 10-12% APY, or I use it to buy something with my crypto card.
But I would never, ever sell crypto for fiat because of inflation (fiat lose 5-6% value every year) and taxes (in my country we only pay crypto taxes when we sell crypto for fiat).

Just as an example to illustrate unrealized "profits":

Yesterday there was a rip-of with a new created token: PYTHON
(you can read that story here: https://www.blackhatworld.com/seo/fast-cash-with-tokens.1374670/)

Current price of that token: $646,415,231

https://app.moontools.io/pairs/uniswap/0xcc5b3f853e54ef288cef6d2e6ee5e9b117bc09cc
But liquidity is nearly zero, do you think somebody who is holding 1 PYTHON token holds $646,415,231 ??
No trades on that token anymore after the rip-off yesterday, and whoever still holds that shit-coin will never
be able to sell this stuff again...

But coming back to OPs question:
Biggest win of myself: 1'000$ => 10'000$ (but that was on FOREX trading, not crypto). It funded myself a very nice vacation in Egypt :)
Biggest crypto win: not realized (cashed out) yet, so no profit
Biggest crypto loss: bougth QBX token years ago, lost ~2'000$

Not yet any so far because like i said i hold the coins for mid term in order to have Profit … and if you have Enough patience and time then you will see most of all coins will give you Good Profit in the end

My $500 gain came from a $15 investment in DOGE that I made back in December 2020.

Sadly, I knew about Doge in 2017 but didn't buy it because I read an article recommending to avoid it. Now I do my own research and don't listen to other people advices.

Most of times I invest my own money I am in loss. Sometimes I let the money received from clients sit in my wallet and it grows with time.
