What are you studying ? / studied

You can work in a factory and be more successful than someone who went to university for 7 years, all it takes is good money management. Not to mention the fact that if you don't live in a big city (with high costs of living) after you graduate then you'll probably never find a job related to your degree. Where I live, people commute 2.5 hours one way (5 hours total) Monday-Friday to get to work. Why? The only jobs they could get with their degrees are in a big city. Who would want to drive 25 hours every single week for 40+ years? Not to mention the fact that 9/10 people are living on borrowed money (credit), which is what makes them appear to be successful.

A piece of paper doesn't guarantee anything, and 4+ years is a long time to study something while also accumulating $1000's of debt.
