I have just about abandoned the strategy and make up for it in other areas. We used to do manual outreach and had built up a nice spreadsheet. But as time goes on those sites end up losing all their traffic and the DR/DA ends up tanking.

I know there is a section on this site to purchase them. But im sure they're probably just PBNs that will end up falling off after a while or could just do more harm then good to my clients sites.

Can anyone advise?

Also is the amount a traffic particular site gets a good way to determine if it would be a good back link or not?

High authority sites and local directories

Besides the more popular sites that we all know of how can you tell if a site is high authority? Are you judging on DA/DR and traffic?

Also for town specific local directories how do you go about getting listed on them? Is it all manual outreach?

I have a service I pay for when I need citations but it doesnt include ones that are local and in the same town as the business

Yes I feel that is all that is out there when you do a manual search. I have bought links on Vetted from an industry credible source and I never see them become a backlink on my clients sites

forum backlinks when the site is still fresh
HARO to get a mix of nofollow and d0follow after the site has started ranking
Strong PBNs after the site is big

I don't think PBN is a good idea, You can go with Guest post on same niche websites.

Yea but doesnt Haro want like $300 for a backlink?

Im not saying I search for PBNs. Im saying thats what they all end up being. Any of these "write for us" sites with articles from 10 different industries is a PBN. No matter how pretty it looks and traffic it gets for the time being

Posting your link in forums in your niche. For example for a website of mine while doing keyword research i found around 15-20 forums in the same niche as me that were big and had high authority. I managed to put my link in 9 of them while 4 were d0follow links. This gave my site an initial boost.

Nice! Ill keep an eye out for sites like that

Yes, you're correct. Recent times have seen the deployment of updates. Do you too use Ahref to monitor traffic? If so, it is possible. As a result of AHREF's algorithm modification, numerous websites appear to have lost some of their traffic.

We encountered this issue unexpectedly last month. Most high-traffic sites have seen a decline in traffic. So they don't mean PBN. They are affected by the update.Outreach is a good strategy, don't give up. Keep in mind that SEO is a long-term approach.

Guys. My thread didn't get attention but, i can ask it here which one would You get for churn and burn projects, rankerx or what? and what kind of system would You build?

Both PBN and Guest Post with high traffic backlinks are good to go.

The thing is evaluate the quality of the service by asking for sample posts or some review copy to test the quality of the links.

Then you can select the good service and place big orders for backlinks.

Creating high-quality content, PBN and Guest blogging on other websites, submitting your website to directories, being active on social media, and running link building campaigns are some of the best ways to get backlinks.

HARO outreach and just publishing posts that your site can rank for

Manual outreach is the hardest, but most effective. You can do the easy stuff like social media, directories , quora, reddit and etc. Tbe best method is to do a backlink analysis of your competitors and try to obtain the same backlinks they have

I also believe that PBNs are not a reliable option, you should select guesting option and find high authority websites of your concerned category according to your site niche
