What are you doing with your free domains?

As I'm sure many of you have seen AlpNames offering the free domains for the several extensions.
For those lucky enough to grab a free one (or from what I've read on other sites... a select few ppl were able to grab over XXX) I'm wondering what others are doing with them?

Any one just using them for 301's, or actually building sites/businesses with them?

I was lucky to grab a couple unique domain names, so far just testing out & they're just info-based sites, no monetization yet.

If you get a domain that you want I don't see why people won't use this opportunity to build their own money site to make the most out of their domain. That seems like the most logical thing to do if you ask me.

IF you grabbed already then I must start creating site and make money dude because may be,on this domain someone else can start to make your dream.

from what I've read with these latest push for free registrations, i feel that 99% are squatting. I mean, it's not game-changing (.party just makes me chuckle).

These new gLTD's are great.
- Better opportunity to define what your website is about using just a domain name
- New gLTD's = a lot of great, not registered, exact match domains, great for SEO
- The results are already coming in. I read somewhere that "coffee.club" already ranked on #1 spot in huge coffee related keyword just in few months
- Google and some other big companies are getting hold of these domains too, that's a good sign too.

Using them as a backup

Not really using them as a brand or anything though.
