What are you investing in this new year?

I posted about Cardano the other day so I'm thinking maybe I should invest in crypto, after a season of being skeptical about it.

It seems like some lawsuits against Tether are being dropped recently, which is good news.

So, are you investing in anything in 2020? If so, what? I'm looking for ideas.

Right now I'm just watching the flow.

Bitcoin is the only major cryptocurrency I am interested in at this time. There are a couple of very small coins that no one really knows about yet that I'm invested in and following carefully but I can't mention those yet ;)

I am buying Ferrum (FRM) I just feel like they can goat the top since they now have they first app called Kudi that operates in nigeria.

I don't even have a crypto wallet. I am a hater of crypto as much as you hate Google.

I don't hate Google. I despise some of their policies, especially what's going on with over 51% of zero click searches. They do exactly what they tell everyone they shouldn't do (ads all over the fold, scraping our content, etc).

But word about crypto. It's good to be skeptical in this space.

I made my money with crypto and am now OUT.

Bitcoin might take off (again), but the altcoin bubble popped two years ago.

Interesting take. I have a feeling the bubble might come back, thus my recent interest.

Ah, so you're a "maximalist" eh? Trying to get myself familiar with the crypto jargon.

Here's what I hear are the current suggestions in some of the circles of the bigger pockets:

ALGO, SNX, NEXUS

Will definitely take a look.

SNX showing an interesting price movement in the past few months. Might be a high multiplier.

+10% in the past 24 hours.... This is looking interesting.

Are you Adam Schiff?

But seriously, someone posted a recent negative correlation between gold and BTC. Looks like countries in crisis are selling gold and buying Bitcoin since a few days ago.

Can't go wrong with gold.

I'm doing gold because it's in meatspace. I don't trust my money when it's just numbers on a screen.

That's the problem with Federal Reserve money! It's only numbers.

Bitcoin at least has the mining costs associated with it. Issuing dollars is almost free.

I lost a lot of money last year on crypto, not gonna invest again in it this year for sure.

Yeah, Fed Bucks are basically Monopoly money. HOWEVER, the petrodollar makes the US dollar a very valuable currency. When oil gets denominated in another currency, then the US dollar will have some major problems.

Mining costs don't give Bitcoin value though. The majority of Bitcoin's value comes from speculation.

That said, I still have Bitcoin and US currency.

I already have a stash in Cardano from the last Bull Run (couple of years ago ig) Gonna hold it till i recover my initial investment, Still at -60% :p

My goal is to buy as much Perfect Pink Diamonds this year as possible..
