There is a lot of talk about using pbn links and web 2.0s but when you look at the top ten website links on google they seem to be using a wide variety of links and not only pbn links or web 2.0s links so what really should one be using for tier 1 links and what backlinks do you seem to find when looking at the top ten sites on google ?

What does really work for tier 1 ?
It seems a bit confusing what is discussed on the forums and then what you really see the top ten sites using ?

Please share your opinion ?

Most websites don't "use" links to get to the top 10 they often aquire them by being good or being notable.

All the link methods you mention are good ones and do work.

The only way your going to find out for sure is to test yourself, endless looking at sites in the top 10 is a waste of time IMHO and takes you away from the actual goal of running a website. (Making Bank)

It might just be that the majority of real websites run by real businesses either don't know what a PBN is or don't want to take the risk. But if you build a PBN the right way then it does work, trust me on that.

I think you're just not seeing websites ranking with them simply because out of the billions of sites, only a minuscule percentage of people have built one or have paid for access to one.

Wanna see examples of SERPs where the top 10 sites are using PBN links only? I don't wanna out any site, but if you want to see those sites, search for keywords in niches where many affiliate marketers are vying for high rankings. Note that PBN links can be hidden too by blocking the bots of link research tools (Ahrefs, Majestic, OSE, etc.).

Getting top is not only the work of web 2.0s but many more efforts underneath the ranks.

There are a lot of factors and they change depending on the niche, you need to analyze the sites in your niche, copy and improve what they do and you'll get there too.

Anything that has good authority and doesn't come from a spam riddled site should be ok. Just aim for relevance and authority and you will be on the right track!

The top websites in all my niches are dominated by websites that are years old with natural links, created by people unaware of SEO (or are at least incredibly effective at making themselves seem as such), and use literally as diverse a link profile as I could imagine. I've since began attempting to replicate them for some of my new websites to try out.

So many people look for the magic to rank their website, I spend my time looking for easy to rank well paying keywords in the gambling niche. I waste far less time doing it this way. Yes I could waste my time trying to rank for "online casino" which is not even a buying keyword, a playing keyword, or I can find keywords which have as many search terms, which are far easier to rank and are playing keywords.

Any tips for doing KW research Micky?

I have seen similar things in my niche, diverse link profiles tend to be what they use to gain some traction, though their crappy links also tend to have been empowered.

You've obviously never ranked for that KW then, otherwise you'd realise how stupid that statement was.

You obviously have not got a clue what you are talking about, or what I do. I have several playing keywords which match the search terms of online casino, all of which are easy to rank, with little competition. Therefore I target these keywords instead of going for seriously high comp keywords, yes you are right, I am real stupid.

Do you even know what a buying keyword is, a playing keyword? Or do you simply make silly little clueless comments?

Also do you realise when you cut an extract out of a paragraph, it is not exactly what I am saying?

If you saw any of my sites that are powered by PBN's, you would not be able to see the PBN. You'd think they're just ranking off the back of 3 or 4 web 2.0's and maybe a few (literally, a few) directory links.
But you'd be so incredibly wrong. Just because I block the crawlers I don't want from my PBN sites doesn't mean I don't use PBN links :)

informational KW = "online casino" --> low conversion rate, very high comp.
bying KW = "online casino promo code" --> high conversion rate, less comp.

so who is the one with the stupid statement?

so what are these tier1 links they are using for diversity ?

Of coarse it works if you do quality as part of your backlink profile.... So this will be hit in the next algo update cause you guys keep banging on about it! Ever stopped tp consider that Google watches this place? Seriously glad you guys are not on my team!!

So true. When you look at certain niches you will always think that the competition looks "natural" and has only a few links, while in reality, they have PBN links that have been hidden. I do the same thing, first rank with the hidden pbns and then put some more other links there so that when people look it does not show a website with 0 backlinks. Many people are doing this these days so it actually becomes hard to see whether a keyword has a lot of competition or not.

Until proven wrong, I think the best strategy is still to do a variety of links. If most of your links are from one type of source, it is incredibly easy to get destroyed when Google does updates if they mess with that type of linking.

Again, go rank for "online casino" and tell me that it doesn't convert.
