I recently started on Instagram, and I'm starting to follow people in my niche. This is the same thing I've been doing for years on Twitter.
On Twitter, they have clear limits. Cannot follow more than 1000 a day. Cannot tweet more than 2400 times in a day. etc.
On Instagram, these rules are nebulous.
Here are my questions:
On Instagram, you can go to anyone's follower list and follow their list. I've noticed the follows all don't actually happen after "follow" has been clicked. What's going on here? If I follow 500 people, I'll see when it's done I actually only followed 150. Why are some follows not "taking"?
What is the daily follow limit of Instagram?
What is the suggested follow rate? Will a follow every half second trigger something? Every one second?
What is the penalty for following too many? Or following to quickly?
Any other basic tips for doing the follow-method on Instagram would be greatly appreciated.
