I've also been wondering this myself, has anyone tried wirex? They have both virtual & plastic cards that can be spent anywhere even if bitcoin isn't accepted, it can switch between currency. They also have a app for mobile.

I use xapo personally and it works out well for what I need.

Might not be exactly what you are looking for royserpa with you mentioning virtual cards since these are physical debit cards but you can use them with ATMs etc. to draw cash from your BTC.

Okay, let's say wirexapp.com is the best option in EU. The working alternative is spectrocoin.com. Their future competitor would be bonpay.com. For the US market, there are just shiftpayment.com and bitpay.com. All the rest have vanished.
