Strong backlinks are the links inside content (contextual links) which is relevant to your website. The website page where you want to place your link should have original content and design and has low number of outbound links to pass you more PR weight.

Find out which sites are backlinking to those forum posts and get backlinks from those sites too. That could push you up in search engine position for those keywords.
I am new to backlinking, not new to creating websites. I have a lot to understand, forgive me for asking what is social bookmarking and how do you go about creating backlinks for them?. One other subject i would like to raise is Alexa how do you get Alexa users to link to your own website. I have seen 'joeblogswritesaboutcom' getting multiple links from websites that have no relevance too 'joeblogswritesaboutcom' and 'mywebsite' use's no blackhating or whitehating at all, just headers, a few keywords per page, I am confused, is 'joeblogswritesaboutcom' using some tool because the days of knocking on a webmasters door and asking for links are gone, they are over and getting 300 Alexa backlinks in 15 months is physically impossible, its taken me 15 months to just get 18 alexa links. So I believe 'joeblogswritesaboutcom' is doing something but I just don't know what and said website has a good page rank, it just doesn't sound right to me.
