Hi, I'm kinda new and was wondering what factors in a video youtube looks for to determine its ranking. Is it mainly views? I bought some hr views from bigbuddy, but I feel like it's not enough to make it to the front page. I heard from a friend earlier that if you get a lot of people adding your videos to favorites, it increases your video's ranking. Is this true?

All advice is greatly appreciated.

There is a youtube section, but it's a variety of things, views, likes, comments, favorites, subs, backlinks, and keywords. I advice you to go to the youtube section, theres a couple of threads there. http://www.blackhatworld.com/blackhat-seo/f77-youtube/

use the right keywords in name of the video.... that's the key of success

Two tricks which work well:
1. Do very good social sharings.
2. Add you video to the related post on Quora, believe me it will work. :)

An overall high reach is what puts YT on the first page. Comments, views, subscribers, good content, shared videos, organic growing these are the factors that define a good reach.

having a very old account with tons of subscribers will make it on top. this is one of the facotr apart from the decriptions and tags

Let's reverse engineer.

YouTube's (Google's) success (massive) is based on sifting through all the rubbish and giving the viewer exactly what it wants. i.e keyword match to content in video.

Have you researched and put any thought into what a good content match would be for your desired keyword?

Even if you do manage to get to the 1st result with an irrelevant video using fake views, likes or spammy meta data YouTube will be monitoring the amount of time the viewer spends watching the video and the viewers activity while watching your video. Obviously if your viewer finds your video using a keyword search then if the viewer watches all the video and votes/comments Youtube will see that video as a good match for that keyword - solidifying your ranking.

Use fake views, likes etc at your peril.

Before posting a youtube video , make sure your title is search in google search using google tools. After doing this try to optimize your video (you can search in youtube some videos who can help you). Then pray to have some usefull stuff for the viewers and they will share subscribe if you bring something new :).

[TD="class: alt1"]A few simple ones:
- put the main keyword in the title (could be the only thing in the title, should always go first)
- put your link in the first line of the description
- put your keyword in the first sentence and last sentence of 1 or 2 natural sounding paragraphs in the description
-link back to your channel or another video at the end of the description (Youtube likes links back to itself)

Yeap. You're right buddy.

Mostly, natural views, likes and re-share it.
