What are some best payment gateways?

Paypal and Stripe will cancel your recurring membership websites. Had that happen to me. I had Stripe for two years and they cancelled me a few months ago saying that they perform reviews of existing customers and since I was a recurring member site, they cancelled me. They also stored the member's information (as they are gateway and processor) so each member had to sign up again, costing me thousands in lost revenue.

I now use Authorize.net as my gateway and I have TWO merchant accounts. My member cards and info is stored by Authorize.net. If one of the merchant accounts cancels me, I can quickly switch to the other one.

I also have a Paypal account in a phoney name that I can send payment requests from if I need to use it.

Do not use Selz either. They are affliliated with Stripe.

My lesson: Always have backups.

I agree with some of the others, stripe is good. It can be integrated into carts and forms too.

Stripe, Paypal. Also check out Paykickstart, Zaxaa, Jvzoo, Gumroad for payment platforms / affiliate support.

I have worked with stripe. i have no problems with them

+1 for Stripe for its updated API. Paypal might be the most popular, but it's a little dated, and recently, it's been trying to play catchup with all the competition.

Stop it guys, one who asked this question is no more interested in your answers and seem to have got his payment gateway or quit IM. So let us rest this debate
