what are my options for pinterest automation?

By saying - 'Automation', please explain what exactly do you want to achieve? Do you want to -
1) Auto create pins from your websites?
2) Auto follow and unfollow?
3) Auto Curate pins and post to your account?
I use a wordpress plugin FS-Poster that helps me auto post pins from my website articles everytime I hit the publish button in my website. It is a wonderful plugin that even a new beginner can use.

Well, I checked their site after reading your post. Honestly I am not impressed with it. It is important to make sure that they are official pinterest partners just like hootsuite and tailwind. Otherwise you risk your pinterest account getting banned. I don't think that this service is an official partner of Pinterest. So be careful.

You could create your own custom bot for Pinterest, you don't have to be an official Pinterest partner?

True but my point is be extra careful while using any third party service like this that is not listed as Pinterest's official partner in their website. This is very critical because, in case Pinterest decides to suspend your account then all the hard work you have done will be gone in seconds. Please see the screenshot attached to see how official partners sign is mentioned in their websites.
Once your account is suspended, these service providers can not help you at all to recover it.
