what antivirus software BHW members use

norton ghost. Screw AV. Build your network properly and you will never use AV again.
 
I use AVG from last 2 yrs. No problem. Its protects well.

Except that it's true, well at least it is for Leopard and Snow Leopard. There are no, I repeat, no viruses at the moment for Leopard. The same is true of Snow Leopard. No Viruses, no spyware, nothing.

Except for the " Apple-specific DNS changer Trojan" also known as OSX_ JAHLAV-K
why do you think they're releasing an anti virus for snow leopard. Hackers never sleep. Anyone who thinks that apples are safe is fooling themselves
and the hackers know that.
 
I used to be a Norton diehard years ago until a virus slipped through the cracks - even though I kept it constantly updated. I switched to AVG and have never had a problem since. Plus AVG seems to take up less resources.
 
Webroot's SpySweeper is my favorite. Tried Kapersky and hated it. Bogged down my PC. Norton is same.
 
For all you Nod32 guys where are you getting serials from? the forever dot cn site seems to be down....

nd dont tell me you are paying. tht wouldn't be very black hat of you guys!!!

Very true, they never sleep and they never take a day off.
 
I looked here before buying a while back. Everyone (or many people anyway) here was recommending K@spersky, so I was going to buy it. However, you look at reviews on some of the big review sites, and see many negative reviews for K@spersky (paid for by a big competitor?), so I bought Nort0n instead.

Anyway, and all the Nort0n haters will probably love this, everytime I go to the main page here on bhw (all other pages don't show it), it shows that a virus has been blocked. I'm wondering if anyone else gets this as well.

well, there was a site called nod321 dot com, that got canned, and a ton of other nod32 serial sites were taken down just recently... however i did run into this site:

i think one of the middle ones worked. give it a shot. looks like ESET is cracking down on a lot of those serials.
 
im killing this thread before it ends in another bitch fight, i am admin on the ppi forums and i will tell you this much, BUY kaspersky internet security AND malwarebytes antimalware, they are your best options for keeping a windows computer secure at this point in time
