Kaspersky 7 is the best over all AV.Even Kaspersky 8 and 2009 don't prove that much as ver. 7 do for me!! :D

Avira Antivirus! Works well! Detects virus a mile away.. Haven't had any problems.

I've used AVAST without a hitch. Everything else seems to be too bloated for my taste.

Kaspersky Internet Security 2010 and KeyScrambler (it protects you from every keylogger)

Eset Nod32 Antivirus, Comodo firewall and SuperAntispyware

I have been learning quite a bit about internet security here are my findings summarized in a few lines:

*use Kaspersky all the way
*use Virus Total before you install anything esp win apps and pdfs
*disable javascript in your pdf viewer esp if using Adobe
*ideally use Mac OS X or Linux as your OS
*if Windows install Ubuntu then something like Virtual Box, install Windows inside this. Then install Sandboxie. Then install Windows apps within this.
*use a seperate machine I like to call a "surf whore" to surf and test software
*use Roboform all the way
*use Roboform to create passwords like this at least 15+ characters "!3AknrYuF%5d#9XhoXyU" longest max for web related things like WP / Email.
*Dont use free web based email for things like Paypal / Ebay etc.
*spyware no excuses use Adaware, Spybot, Malware Bytes and SuperAntiSpyware - all are free.

If you cant be bothered to follow the above its worth picking up the cheapest machine you can from Ebay, install Linux and surf on that. Keep your primary computer safe if you can. I have 2 I dont put online ever.

Hope this helps.

:)

Kaspersky is the best!!! I used to work in computer repair store... it is the best antivirus, because I try to use a lot of them and I should say Kaspersky did that things that another antivirus can't...

Just get a Mac and you don't need to worry.

^^^ That is such an incorrect and stupid mac fanboy statement...

Avira - came through #1 in detection among all the top anti-virus programs.

Anti-virus software is bloated and made redundant by Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware. That used in conjunction with CCleaner, Windows Firewall, the latest updates, no stupid Java installed and you're all good

I tried may of them, Kasperesky is now my favorite choice (a lot cheaper than ESET which is also very nice).

Malwarebytes is good for spyware removal.

I also run Spybot, which alerts me on a lot of new installs... it runs great along with kasper, whereas some of them like McAffee complain about any other antivirus package (I call it anti-competitive practice)

I`ve been using norton and it seems to be doing good job untill i decided to try nod32 and volla........nod32 is gonna be my main anti-virus for a long time to come.
