What an awful section

Every single thread I can see in this section is either:

1) Giving away coupons

or

2) I got banned!!

I've never looked in here before, but I'm shocked at just how bad this section is. There doesn't seem to be ANY discussion on adwords. I guess the people making money just keep their mouths shut.

The bing section seems better, there's a bit of discussion in there. Maybe bing's just more popular now for affiliate stuff so there's at least some people who discuss some things.

There's a fair amount of info on the forum for fb ads too, so I was surprised that there's just not anything with adwords.

Although I know quite a few people who do fb and pof, but no one who does adwords anymore.


I used to do adwords until the trademark term crap which just crapped all over my profitable campaigns.

I'm agree with BlueTurtle. We need more quality post here or we need some inner cicle where we exchange experience on how to deal with Google AdWords. For instance:
- how to create & manage multiple adwords account
- how to stay under radar promoting stuff that adwords doesn't like
- affiliate marketing with adwords in 2012 that works
- what type of landing page that is acceptable by adwords
- step by step guide to maximize your QS

you know you could start with yourself and post some useful methods in this section, right?

because alot of blackhat activity is going on in adwords

It's obvious from my post that I'm looking to read information rather than share it. Why would I create a post like this if I already had all the knowledge needed?

This is also the problem with many people like yourself, who I'm sure don't make money otherwise you would never ever ever ever ask someone for a 'method'.

Asking someone for a method is rude and insensitive. Do you really think someone's going to share a working adwords method? What happens when 100 people start bidding on those keywords? Profit goes from $500/day to $5/day if they're lucky.

Asking for methods shows you have absolutely no experience or understanding of online marketing. I've never met a single person in marketing who's making money that asks for methods. None. I never have and never will ask anyone for their method, but I will ask them some non-intrusive questions so I can get a better understanding of how to overcome some of the challenges I'll face with my own project.

What can be shared is things like:

What kind things are still working on adwords, trials, biz ops, pps, building email lists. Ie, what general areas are people still having success in.

What's the current situation with trademarks. I read that last march they got rid of the trademark restrictions, so can you both BID on trademark terms *and* have them in the creative?

Does anyone still direct link?

Are you doing affiliate stuff or creating your own profit?

Did you find it hard to find profitable keywords with adwords?

How do you find adwords compared with bing if you use bing?

Any tips for increasing quality score?

Do you know if it's possible to show a different display url as your target url. I've seen some ads that do this.

These are all questions that can be discussed without giving away income sources. Simply asking someone for their method is just childish. I personally don't like the word "method". It's like something from a kids club. You don't hear any other entrepreneurs talk about "methods". They talk about business models.

I've personally never found that. I've had the same adwords account since 2007.

I used it extensively until 2009 and dabbled here and there in 2011 and it's still alive and well.

I never used any vouchers though and I've always paid on time. I highly doubt Google's business model is to ban everyone from adwords for doing legit stuff considering 99% of their revenue comes from adwords.

and btw asking for methods is not a crime, we (BHW Community) share methods all the time and there are some methods on adwords as well

Asking for methods is lame. People willingly sharing is one thing, but neg repping someone because they won't share working methods is pathetic and desperate.

Why don't you go and find an exec vip or mod who thinks it's ok to beg for methods. You won't find a single one because it's frowned upon on bhw.

What is the point fighting over whether someone should or should not post their methods on this section or to a larger extent - Forum.

The FACT remains that the Adwords section is a desert.

Doesn't mean that Adwords isn't working, all it means is... the adwords section is dead.

Make money and have fun, that is all that matters.


P.S. Who gives a fuck about REP? Who can seriously say in the year 2012, that you care about something so meaningless. Your rep count isn't going to get to you to your dreams of financial freedom, so who cares?
