Hey guys just looking for some advice, thank you in advance for anyone taking the time to respond.

I own a small sports based website with soccer as the subject matter. Right now, I get about 400-600 sessions a day according to Google Analytics. Problem is, I'm barely making any money from Adsense, even with banners plastered everywhere on the site, even with articles.

The site is updated daily, with an average of 1-2 articles posted a day.

What am I doing wrong and how can I turn the traffic into more money? Thank you.

PS - I also have a Twitter account linked with the site that has around 10,000 followers.

It is called ad blindness. Also people have searched dozens of sites offering the same service whereby they see dozens of ads as well. Try removing the ads and adding a email list and emailing them about offers. Or switch to another color or type of ad

What do you mean not making any money ?

From your 500 visits, with a 3% CTR and a CPC at $0.15 you should be making around $2 to $2.5 per day; but thats an estimation, a lot of other factors have to be studied.

By my opinion 1 article per day is way to low. You can't help everyone . Maybe that one article is not even interested to viewers. How you get traffic ?

It's less than that, it's around $.50-1.00 a day.

How can I maximize my profit? Should I put up ClickBank ads?

Test different offers. Try sports betting, soccer products via amazon affiliate program.

Which country is the traffic coming from?

You can also sell ad space directly to advertisers.

I don't know why i have this in head, but in my memories, you shouldn't have more than 3 ads block per page.
What's your CTR/CPC ?

Your traffic numbers are not that high. How much do you expect to be making currently with your traffic?

Listen to what the first comment said. Grow your email list and hit them up with offers. Another thing you might want to do is look into fitness CPA. If people are into soccer, maybe they want to be in excellent shape themselves? Adsense is the poor mans monetization.

"Banners plastered everywhere" doesn't sound very appealing to me. See if having just a couple of ads in the sidebar/top of your articles makes any difference.

It might sound counter productive, but people may just feel a bit less spammed, and a bit more likely to engage like that.

Instead of using adsense to monetize traffic why don't you try CPA?

You can use a casino/sports bookie offer where you receive $xx when someone deposits money.

Adsense wasn't working for me for sometime. Then i tried widget from Amazon with the products.Within about 2 days I had a $12 Amazon commission!Point is ,you gotta check and confirm, what works with your viewers.

You need to keep testing. If you don't like the results, adapt some aspect of it. This will take a long time until you find that sweet spot.

Also, if you have a following, honestly ask them (or survey) on their opinions about the site, ads, would they be interested in a newsletter, etc. if you show the people you care they'll respond back.

Your not doing anything wrong. Just gathering feedback. Take what you learn and adapt. It's always about getting incrementally better.

Wanted to come back to see if you had any update. Keep us posted, I'd love to try and help.

I agree with kbklash, adsense is most likely just not a fit for your site. Perhaps pivot towards selling 'fan gear' (ie jerseys, banners, etc.).

Also, why not study your competitors & see what they are doing to monetize? Just did a little basic search, and most seem to be primarily based as live tracking/streaming.. which then I see betting.
