What am I doing wrong?

Hey Guys, I have recently started 2 websites both that are PR4 and doing fairly well with traffic. Essentially I have been registering exact keyword domains and writing quality content. I recently registered another keyword domain that has around 1200 searches a month and very low competition. I wrote a 500 word article, posted it and im not even ranking on google first page! Could anyone tell me what im doing wrong?

It would take some time so you may add more content till it does come there.

you should give it some time dude. you can accelerate this thing by sharing in face book and twitter and also by digging it.
it will be indexed quickly.

Agreed, Link to it from other websites (friends) - This helps get ranked quicker.

Sounds like domain age to me. For your other sites at PR4 that doesnt happen overnight so you must have waited a while for that.

if you are doing pure whitehat then it will take some time but once when it gets pick up ,you will see huge amount of traffic.

EMDs are no magic... Even they require some time, content, optimization to rank high. SO better, you should employ all the optimization practices and give it some time to rise.

Yes. Be patient. Even with an EMD it will take some time. I just launched an EMD about 3 months ago with 10 original 500 word articles and I keep adding two per week. I have also worked on a steady link building campaign and social sharing campaign.

Definitely follow the advice of the other posters above and get your article shared socially. This will help get it indexed. Then, wait for the traffic to come. It's been a long three months of waiting, but my new EMD is finally starting to see some good traffic. Good luck to you!
