What am I doing wrong?

I own 2 sites I would love to post here but the forum will not allow me and both are not getting much search traffic - basically next to none.
I would love to get the forums advice on items I have overlooked to optimizing the site for search - are there server issues, coding issues, or other things I just am not doing right. Send me a private message to get the URLS. Or explain me how to post them here.

I focus on White Hat techniques and hope to avoid Black Hat techniques to gain better rankings.
At this point I am lost and frustrated trying to understand were I am going wrong.

I use gtmetrics, woorank, google webmaster tools to check for issues
and google keyword tools, google analytics to study keywords and keyword phrases for my sites.
I gain my knowledge from reading this forum and google crawling forum daily but still feel I am doing something wrong.

Have you done your on-site SEO well?

As far as I know I have done my onsite seo well
title, descriptions, keyword/key phrase placement, not over stuffing, rel=author.

I think i have figured out how to post the two sites so I can get some advice whocaters.c00m and loveengineer.c00m
Have excellent direct traffic but lack traffic from search engines.

What SEO service are you paying for?

well, it pretty much depends on the TYPE of SEO service

If you've used one anchor building all the links, google doesn't like it. you have to diversify text on your links.

Is this all unique content? (nothing spun)

To answer the questions
- I don't pay for SEO services do it all myself.
- As well I do not spin articles, it is unique.
- I don't believe I am using one anchor text for link building - but could be wrong if you see something I am not seeing. . I try to get links naturally people linking to content they like.
