I have no idea what's wrong with adsense, I have 2 websites, one of them in the weight loss niche another one in finances, particularly loans, getting US traffic for both of them and being displayed extremely related ads with high paying keywords and I'm only getting $0.20 per click at max, what am I doing wrong? Could it be the account? It's only one month old, or maybe the websites? one of them is 2 weeks old the other one is couple days old? Can someone help me get what's wrong with it?

If the traffic is from some socials it is normal to be 0.20. But if it is organic it is not normal. It depends of the quality of the traffic and how many advertisers pay to Google.

It's not social traffic but it isn't organic as well, it's the first time I hear about different payouts depending on the traffic source, anyways I know people using the same traffic source and they have high cpc so I doubt it's the problem.

The amount shown on the keyword planner is what google charge per click for clicks from their own search results. The CPC on their display network is often much less, and then google take their cut from the click too lowering it further.

If the keyword planner is showing around $1.50-$2.50 CPC for search traffic then I would be expecting around 25 cents-50 cents per click on the display network. Double check by putting your keyword into the display planner. To do this go to the keyword planner, click tools, and click display planner close to the bottom.

Thanks for reply, I did this before creating my website and the displayed amount was $2.00-$2.50, google takes 32% of that so it's more than a dollar per click but I'm still getting pennies for some reason.

Clear your browser cookies and use vpn/proxy to check your site. Maybe the ads are not that related as you expect?

I have used multiple browser and proxy addons and even clicked my ads once or twice, clicking a loan related ad from US and UK and still $0.20 cpc

High adsense CPC is based on organic traffic.

Yet people in similar niche to mine and another one in a even lower paying niche are getting an average of $1 per click with the exact same traffic source

Authority site tends to catch all of the high CPC ads, and new website wil get what's left in the niche. With time it should grows if your traffic is consistent and your content too.

My first domain is an expired one which has quite a lot of quality backlinks and a PR2

There is no real other way to raise or force Google CPC up other than simply changing your niche keywords. Like many people have said, Google will pay you what THEY want to per click, regardless of what the internet says or people think. Once you have learned this, think hard on whether or not you can monetize this traffic with cpa offers, or replicate the product or service sold by advertisers on Adwords for your own site, and make money that way.

Doesn't mean that google consider it as the first choice for the best ads in their niche.
Lately they worked a lot on "who get what". Established websites, good content, etc are awarded with the highest CPC while new sites gets whats left until proven realy good site.
And yes you site is new. If you think that Google will consider your site as authority because of backlinks & PageRank you are wrong. They see everything. And since the server of the domain changed IP, you changed the whole content, & the resgitrar and registrant are different, it's not hard for them to figure out it is not the same website.

Sometimes people goes thorugh the fishnet with their site and catch high CPC, sometimes not, and you'll have to work harder for it.

Thanks for the reply, that definitely makes sense, I will try to update my websites with articles constantly and try to drive traffic each day, hopefully that raises the CPC, any thoughts on disabling low paying ads? Could that help or it's likely to hurt more?

Given that you have clicked your own ad, it is obvious google will ban your account now, so I'd start thinking about the next account, or alternatively and more likely (a completely different way to monetize) because frankly once Big G F*&#s you once - you're just about done - at least when it comes to adsense. Of course if you know about shell corporations, and other strategies you can always get another adsense account, but then try to be smarter about your misuse of it.

You can continue to waste your time now waiting for the ban hammer to come down, and you may still learn more about how to improve your CPC, but ultimately when your account does get banned - you will be that much more frustrated. You are probably better off to get a new account already and a new site, or completely move on. Sorry to be a downer here, but a lot of people are probably going to tell you that you are safe, but within 30 days - Google is going to close your adsense account. Remember where you heard it.

Yeah, his adsense account will get banned because he clicked twice, to get $0.4
nice logic

Probably depends solely on the advertisers and not much to do with Google.
