believe me IG+OGADS still works, but as the OGads players earn huge money, they reinvest and its really hard to compete with them for newbies
so you have to find some niches which are not competitive yet
BUT my advice is only one thing - TARGET BETTER - TARGET BETTER - TARGET BETTER
targeting is everything in business. so when i try new platforms, firstly i always do it manually to understand user of that platform and then go for bots for scaling up. so just start small - take a week and test everything manually - understand the behavior of user and track everything. believe me you will find targeted users and you will find your game.

but please dont think that only IG+Ogads is good for newbies
social media marketing is definitely goldmine and go check
1. Pinterest Traffic - Which makes wonders with Adsense
2. Reddit - which is also goldmine if you know how to do it right, that's what i'm learning right now
3. Facebook Groups - Still one of the most underrated source of traffic
Guys don't sit and ask what are you doing wrong - go, explore, focus, understand the behavior of users and track everything - after that you will find your game!
