    Hi,

    Many people find very hard to learn some windows development language... but, what if i create a new language that let you use HTML GUIs and let you build Windows Desktop applications?
    You can use javascript, per example, as the language and just call the commands in the language to execute Windows tasks such as read/write files, execute command lines, navigate using sockets and proxies, etc, etc, etc.
    You can use javascript, as i said before, but you can use Flash or any other language that let you call just one javascript function qwith its parameters.

    Per example:

    Code:
    Command('windowsize','100,100,500,500')
    'This will create a windows in the x,y screen position with the width and height indicated.

    Command('windowtitle','This is the title');
    'This will give the window some title

    Command("ShowWindow");
    'Finally this will show the window.
    The window is a self contained web browser based on IE, so you can show you web page and call our commands from within your web page.

    Per example the showed command could be runned like this:

    Code:
    <input type="button" onclick="Command('windowtitle','This is another title');" value="Set Title">
    Or in any element,, just on the OnClick call the Command function with your parameters.

    The page could be on your server or inserted on the application.

    And so on...

    What do you think about???

    Are you interested?

    You can do endless things and develop, compile and sell windows desktop applications.

    I want to read you points of view about it.

    Are you excited with the idea?

    Tell me something, let me know what do you think about it!

    I am!!! :)

    Sound like you are looking for node-webkit (I'm not allowed to post link, so please do a quick search for it yourself).

    Performance-wise, well, you can imagine an application wrapped inside node-webkit will never match up to native app. But if you are not developing resource-intensive application like games, it won't be that big of a problem.

    In the end of the day, if your code runs in the sandboxed environment of a browser, you are limited to the browser's capacity. However, it's definitely a viable option in rapid app development. In this time and age, you don't want to mess with Java or C if you can help it.

    Well, is similar, but my project and concept is much easier (to use and learn) and its not limited to a browser sandbox, its a full desktop application that can interact with the computer and with internet at the same time, just instead of having the typical desktop GUI, it could have a web GUI with all the bells and whistles (jquery, flash, html5, css3) and achieve the best of 2 worlds: achieve desktop tasks and achieve web tasks, all in one.

    The user just develop a typical web page with javscript, flash, html5, html, css3, etc. He do not need to learn any desktop application language.

    I am with a lot of job, but i will develop a proof of concept and show it the next week.
