I just managed to get my amazon associates account banned.

Reason from their support : Spamming other sites and when I searched my tracking ID in Google, I found that some of competitor spammed my associate links on random blogs and profiles. And the ironic thing is they reported it themselves to Amazon. I should've talked with their support when I noticed a huge number of sales volume in the past week in my account but I thought its festive season. lol.Neg promotion like Neg SEO?

Requested amazon to remove all the tracking IDs and reinstate my account with a new ID.

Anyone had success with account restoration or shall I work on registering an LLC and start anew?

They didnt restore accounts according to me but i am not sure. Your comp are too smart. Get a new account will be best option.

Wait for their response. If they don't reinstate, just create another ID and join the program under it.

awww...it happens... ait or try to give privacy to ur ID if ur going for a new one

The email is from "Gary - Associates Account Specialist" and it looks like this guy is banning a lot of accounts. I can't find a single discussion on google with his name that says an associates account is reinstated after the closure. He's like the matt cutts for the Amazon. The support staff said that their internal team is working on my issue and I'll get a "message" in a day or two. They sent the check on 27th and closed my account on the 28th.

To be on safer side, if any of you guys see sudden spikes in your commission/sales, talk to their support and ask about the traffic source. Looks like they're doing the spring cleaning at the month end.

At least they were kind enough to do that. I can think of another company who would have banned you on the 26th before payment. Sorry to hear about this by the way.

I guess, maybe that "someone" reported it on the 28th morning, but the spammy links were posted 5 days back. How many of us monitor our "tracking-ids" in google alerts?

I'm afraid posting this on BHW will lead to a lot more Neg promotion by the angry birds affiliates. I've been an associate for more than 6 years, but they closed the account without any warning something like their noticing some strange activity on my account. Their system is flawed and this makes me wonder that anyone can ban anyone's account by simply spamming on forums.

Interesting information. We should be more careful
