WH Site strange disappearance!

So one squeaky-clean site I have ranks #3 in US Google desktop and #1 in US mobile., #7 in UK mobile and nowhere in the top 100 in UK desktop. It just dropped out. It's just had a content upgrade. But not the type that should trigger this.
Any thoughts?

It may or may not return. Buy links from UK traditional news websites and see what happens.

Happend to me sometimes when adding new strong links or content.
The website came back some days later with new rankings and keywords

@farvana it may just got hit with the recent google search algorithm update.

either the competition for UK desktop is fierce (so you need more authority), or you're google dancing and will be back soon. That's all I can think of off the top of my head

It was the development. I deleted the staging domain, which was built in a subfolder and had somehow become crawlable, and cleaned up a few other bits and pieces, and it reappeared in the top 100, jumping 95 places to #5. This underlines the care that needs to be taken when updating the content of sites that are prominent in search engines.

It could be a geo-targeting issue. Check your Google Search Console settings to make sure you haven't accidentally set your site to target the US only. Another thing is the recent content upgrade.
