Werid sound coming from the internet? (I guess)

idk i haven't a problem, I can be sitting here just with my laptop open doing nothing, and i heard messages played from somewhere. It sounds like advs. but it only plays for about 5 sec or so and stop.

I wonder if it is spy ware or something to that nature. Anybody heard of something like this.

you installed any of those PPI software?

well i want have anything open or installed, it just sit there lol.... maybe its a marketing demon in my computer....holy crap!

I had the same thing after I installed some PPI installer.. accidentally... I guess they just play PPP ads in the background....

This was running rampant awhile back.

If anyone else starts to have this issue - try this:

1. Right click - desktop.
2. Choose - properties.
3. Click - desktop tab.
4. Choose - customize desktop.
5. Click - web tab.

If there are any pages other than - my current home page.
Delete them - reboot.

For those of you familiar with HijackThis - this shows as an 024 in the log.

After all this and you still hear the noises there is either -
a: a little person inside your comp.
b. you're running low on meds.
c. having acid flashbacks.
d. all of the above.

Have you thought of your neighbors playing with their computers?
