Hi all,
I'm new to BHW (obviously). Built a new website/blog and looking for ways to improve it (and my SEO) and through numerous google searches, seemed to end up here quite a bit and so I figured I'd sign up and (hopefully) become part of the community. I'm afraid I don't have much to offer at this point, but I'm hoping to learn a lot and contribute where and when I can. Thanks! :)

P.S. Can someone tell me how to change my avatar? I see the basic ones that I can change to, but I can't find the option to upload one. Or is that only for veteran members?

Yes, uploading an avatar is only for users that's been here for a bit and posted a bit (not sure about the exact requirements).

I'm so glad we've got yet another new person here that's already taken action. Congrats!

Welcome mate. As far as I remember you need to be registered member to be able to change your avatar, that means you need to have 50 posts.
 
Well Hello, and a warm welcome to you KD3000! Glad to see you are already taking action and getting into the game! I'm sure you will see lots of benefits from joining BHW my fav forum around! Oh and after you read the rules like suggested above, try out the search bar as you can find lots of good info that way!
 
Thanks aty1985 and GlobalP. I have a long way to go to get 50 posts, but I'm sure I'll get there... someday.

Also, do you have to be a veteran/registered member to give/receive reputation? I read about it on the FAQ and it doesn't specify. There seems to be lots of restrictions for newbies (not complaining - just want to see what I can and can't do for the moment). :)
