I sincerely appreciate all of the kind words. Over the last year, I have had the pleasure of spending a lot of time speaking and working with some pretty amazing people at BHW. I won't name names, as I would surely forget some, but there are quite a few people I've met through BHW who I would now consider close, personal friends and whose intelligence, creativity, and business prowess is an inspiring testament to the genuine power of "outside-of-the-box" thinking.
Last September, I wrote a blog post on our blog that is truer today than it was when it was originally written. Rather than rehashing the idea, I'll just post an excerpt here:
While it may sound ridiculous, I truly believe that what we're doing here at BHW is pushing the envelope of conventional marketing thought. If nothing else, by even existing, BHW shows that geographically disparate, micro-businesses can interact and operate in a mostly self-policing manner without needing the approval of more conventional business models. Just as much as we black hatters push markets, we are creating them too.
I'm absolutely honored to be given the opportunity to help tend a garden that I care for very much. Thanks again.
(Also, I've given out all the "Thanks" thanks that I can on the 1st page... just so no one feels slighted.)
