Weird thing with one site

So I have a niche that has been doing pretty well, did a small 100-200 or so blast with senuke profile links and it went within a day on the 2nd spot on google. After another day or two, it went on the 50th place and it stayed around those spots for a while(5 days or so, around the 50th and 60th place), now it went in the past three days, to the 100th place, 200th, 300th and now it is on the 400th place mark :|

Anybody know what's going on? I know a Google Dance shouldn't take this long, it's weird..

There is no exact day on which the 'Google Dance' stops.
Its an process of constant evaluation by multiple different Crawlers/Bots.
Apparent Bot 1 ranked your site on the 5th place, then Bot 2 came along and disagreed bringing you down to 50th place and then Bot 3 paid a visit and he just hated your site and moved it down to 200th place.

Google uses multiple bots with different functions that look at different parts of your website to evaluate it. They have got a Linking Bot, Content Bot and so on.

The Google Dance most people refer is caused by these different evaluations coming together.

Wow. That explains several things I have seen. There must be one really picky bot out there that is trouble.

As long as we don't really now Google's algorythms we can only assume.

I've had sth like this several times, my site went for TOP10 in so little time, then fall drastically just to come back after long long time.
Just keep doing getting links and IMO this site will come back to the top places.

I assumed it would be back sometime soon, but it's frustrating as this site was bringing in 8-10$ a day.. oh well..
