Weird thing happening with 2 sites. is it PANDA??

Sounds like its a dance...but also i understand AMR direclty at your site is not a good idea anymore for a while now...just like Xrumer and Scrapebox.

Or maybe you got a mild - 10 penalty and slowly recovering. You may not get a message in WMT for a few weeks if it was a penalty.

thanks for your input bestmate.

i have never had any issues with amr direct to site even for past few months since the start of panda algo. i have started using buffer websites and properties now tho to mix things up a bit more. how do you use xrummer and buffer properties and sites if u dont mind me asking?

the thing that makes me think its not a penalty is that if it was i should be getting it on nearly all my sites as i use very similar link building campaigns on them all, and its not happened to all of them. but time will tell and like i say i have been doing highly diverse campaigns since the drop in rank on these 2 jst incase i have triggered something in the new algorithm. but on the plus side my competition that was 2nd is sat 1 spot below me at 15th where before we were 1st and 2nd so more positive signs there.

if in another 2 weeks i seen no gain in ranks back to old positions then i will re-evaluate things more drastically. but no WMT messages still so its not a manual penalty or anything.

Could be that your sites were just too new and experiencing the google honeymoon

i appreciate the reply, but its not the honeymoon. the site is around a year old and the keywords are some super high competition keywords.(im talking 3-4 hours a day for the last 6 months i have spent ranking the site) they do appear to be dancing. a couple more keywords are showing back near their original spots before this all started but then disappearing again.

the whole niche appears to be in a constant state of flux right now. With my brand site(for consumer info now ranking very high above the site i am currently talking about for a few keywords and this site has barley had any work done on it compared to the one that has lost a lot of its rankings.

90% sure its just a dance now.

Hi yes most likely a dance as you already worked out.

Re Xrumer: i havent used it in a few months now. If i did though i would blast the links as 2nd tier links to web 2.0 sites. I would also recommend doing thesame with AMR as second tier links as your dance and drop in rankings is prob due to the AMR links direct to your site. Best to keep any potentially spammy links as part of a pyramid now and not directly at your site.

You may have not been hit yet but you dont want to take the chance it does happen in future.

I think that Google has become confused. I really do not know whether they still have the algorithm control of their so called panda control

similar thing for 3 of my sites, homepage nowhere to be seen for EMD keyword and random inner pages are ranking ahead of them.

this happened within the first week of march for me, what kinda dates did you guys notice your rankings drop?

Mine showed this around the last week in February.

I am hoping to see some improvement this week. I have done some solid, slow link building and blasting of my 2.0's.

Like I said I'm in a similar situation. My low competition keywords are going back up again (although a few places lower then previous positions), but my main keyword that was at #6 and had 500K+ exact searches, cannot be found at all.

I have built 10 web 2.0's these last few days posted some articles and blasted them with 10K links.Let's see what happens now. That keyword was my moneymaker.
