Visiting certain pages while I wasn't logged in I got a popup from "cdn.blackhat. net(maybe org?) asking me to login, there were user name and password fields on the popup, it felt like a phishing attempt but I'm probably just being a noob, can anyone clarify?

EDIT from dev team - Thanks when reporting page specific issues like this please provide the page where you're seeing the issue.

I know how this can be fixed but please read this first, can you please quote this post and add the exact URL to the section you're getting this issue.

@Diamond Damien when you access the section, when the login box popsup close it down, next, simply press CTRL + U so the tab opens the source page. Press: CTRL+ F and enter: cdn.blackhat. - hit enter and you will find the exact source where this is placed. I have dealt with such issues before IMHO it's most likely a user that has added a bad avatar/image on here.

    PS

Due to the severity of this I'll make a thread inside the suggestions/feedback section too.

    Regards

Actually just happened to me again. I think it is because of images from the post are trying to pull from another server or something, and so it is prompting server login authentication.

Correct, that's exactly what would be happening. One of my clients had this problem and it turned out a user on his software was using a bad profile avatar.
I'm 99.9% convinced that is the problem here! - in order to fix this you just need to follow my instructions above, find the source and remove the problem.

    Simple.

I dont think its the avatar, but rather the images in the post...but could be either. Im sure they will fix it.

If you see this post: http://www.blackhatworld.com/seo/ex...on-bhw-earn-passive-money-with-kindle.839663/

You get login prompt. If you hit cancel you can see thread, but images from the post are missing

Yeah then I'd suspect it's the images in this case perhaps, as you said it could be either though of course.
The main thing is it's nothing 100% serious. People need not panic whatsoever.
