Weird Google Error

Hi,

Did some searching and couldn't find anyone with a similar issue, I have a site that's ranked on page 1 for years for a search term, for the last two days that page has been dropping out of the top 100, only to reappear for a few hours and then go again. Google is ranking another two pages on page 2 ( between #15-18) but the correct page is nowhere to be seen. The page in question has strong (not spammy) backlinks, and content is very good.

Any ideas why? I've checked the page and no issues with errors or anything, so very strange. Also to add, the pages showing are subpages of the correct page, for example if the search term is "electric cars", the two pages are "compact electric cars" and "nissan electric cars", so not really what the searcher is looking for.

If no changes were made by you it is probably tinkering on their end.
