So I've got a phone with 3 accounts on it that are just my personal acc. They do nothing with making money. Nor does this phone ever touch anything not them. They're just my junk so super Normie accounts.

Now the first one is very old and very neglected, I have it but haven't posted on it in like 2 years. It's still logged in though. When I'm not being active on any accounts it's completely quiet. When I start being active on one of the other two accounts without fail that first one goes viral. Suddenly it blows up with likes and new followers, every time. I'll post a new reel on one of the newer accounts and it will get literally 0 views but this reel from years ago on that first account is now going viral.

Wtf is happening here?

Clearly Instagram connects these 3 accounts and knows that all 3 have the same owner. And knows when the owner is online. So I think it's a little IG algorighm lag. It doesn't push the content obviously when the owner is not online, but it does when you are and want to make you the same content because metrics are good apparently. That's my version anyway :D

It's an account for a hobby that takes time I don't have right now so it annoys me that it has repeatedly done this to me. About once a month I'll have one of the other two accounts flatline and that first neglected one magically get tons of attention.

It sounds like your old account is getting a boost from the algorithm! When you engage with your newer accounts, it might trigger the algorithm to promote your old content. Plus, your old posts could be hitting trends or catching the attention of active followers. It's all pretty mysterious, but it’s fun to see your old stuff go viral! You should try posting on that account again!

Yeah, just because your engagement rates and other mertics probably are better on the old one. IG wants you to keep doing what makes people stay on the platform :)

That's interesting, try using the old account again

It's a hobby account, for handmade goods. It takes me a long time to make the pieces so I haven't had time to make any so don't have anything to post to it.
