I recently launched Amazon PPC campaigns for my products. The traffic looks normal in terms of clicks and CTR, but when I check analytics, the session patterns seem very strange. Some visitors bounce instantly, while others behave like bots, skipping pages or not interacting at all. I’ve checked that the landing pages load fast, product listings are optimized, and targeting is accurate. It feels like part of the traffic might be from internal reviewers or automated sources, and it’s skewing my data. Has anyone experienced this, and how do you ensure that only real users reach your product pages?

Amazon has robust internal systems for validation, fraud detection, and placement testing to ensure reliability and accuracy across its platform.

This is common with Amazon DSP traffic, which can include bot traffic from partner sites. To filter, use exclusion lists to block low-quality placements and enable Amazon's "Optimize for Conversions" bidding to prioritize real buyers. Additionally, set up server-side bot detection on your own analytics to differentiate human sessions.

Yeah I’ve seen similar weird spikes on Amazon Ads Usually it’s either bad placements, competitor clicks, or low-quality traffic from certain targeting. Have you checked the placement report + search term report to see where the clicks are coming from? Also what’s your CTR vs conversion rate during the spike?

Investigate bots, click farms, and tracking issues; sudden traffic spikes are often artificial, misleading, or incorrectly reported by platforms sometimes.

Yes happens sometimes on Amazon ads, just keep optimizing targeting and watch conversions not analytics only

Yeah, this happens sometimes on Amazon, focus on conversions and sales rather than clicks, use negative targeting and monitor ACOS to filter low-quality traffic.

Unlike Shopify/GA, Amazon’s analytics are messy. A lot of “bounces” are just:

ignore analytics patterns bro, amazon is full of bots, just check your actual sales in seller central.

Yeah this happens, not always bots, check placements, search terms, and filter internal or Amazon domains in analytics.

This happens sometimes, could be bots or internal Amazon traffic; filter internal IPs, check placements, and monitor engagement to focus on real users.

yeah i feel you, amazon ppc can be messy sometimes. have you checked your negative keywords lately?

Pull the Sponsored Ads Gross and Invalid Traffic report to see if Amazon is already flagging these clicks as bot activity and refunding your spend.

amazon ppc is full of click farm bots lately lol... u probably getting hit by competitors using scripts to eat ur budget, nothing u can do much except lowering bids on broad keywords.
