So as I never really used Adwords, I received one of those free $100 vouchers in the mail to get started again so I put it to work.

I started trying to create ads for this affiliate site that promoted a warcraft product on clickbank. The site was basically a couple of pages that gave some info on the product.

So I created some ads, but every time they would get disapproved for 'landing pages" issues. I guess it had to deal with the fact maybe it was an affiliate site.

Since I'm an Adwords Newb, I tried to make changes to the site and then see if different Adwords Ads would work, but I always got disapproved ads.

Finally after being unable to launch any ads over the few hrs I was toying around with Adwords, I get a message at the top of my account saying it was banned.

Oh well that sucks.

The end.

if you play around with google they will:
a) ban you from adwords(sense)
b) deindex your sites
c) perhaps both

the most crude company i have ever had to deal with
but you just have to deal with them since they hold 20% of internet traffic and 80% of searches worldwide

I never really did any PPC so I'm not too worried.

I did think it was kind of weird though because I never even got any ads running. My ads would always be disapproved before getting started, and then I just got banned lol.

Also its not like I was promoting any illegal pages etc., it was just a review site on a warcraft product.

Oh well.

dont worry l had the same they are only interested in the big boys who spent $1000,s of dollers not for fokes who spend a few dollers a week.

Yah I'm sure I was banned cuz I got an email basically saying to F#%% off lol.

It was just weird because I was just trying to create ads, couldn't get any off the ground, and then got banned lol.

I don't really care about PPC anyway as I don't use it, but its still kinda funny.

Google doesn't like affiliates, thats for sure. One of my oldest account was suddenly closed even i wasn't using it for a year. This summer logged in and saw a message. How come my campaigns were violating rules even there wasn't funds on account for a year or some *shaking head*

Well, its easy to put a new account, so its not a problem, but spending money, I hardly can recommend it but for very specific niches. Big companies have money to spend on marketing, but I guess they rarely really profit from it straight. Profit comes from growing the brand, getting visibility and so forth. Those aspects are also very very hard to track one to one.

I wonder what is happening inside Google now, when they announced they are hiring 8000 internet marketing specialists to the company last year, anyone heard?

They did this to one of my account aswell.

But just created a new one with a new email ;)
