Quality over quantity.
Try to create a new website with just ten articles - some good one's nu just for the record or quantity - post some reviews/case studies, etc.
Target some low comp keywords.
Do on page optimization / interlinking. Send some genuine social signals. Post your link in quora/ yahoo answers/ google forums/ aboutme, this are free.
Sit and relax you will see much more results. Yes, they say content is king (i'm not very sure about this abut it matters), but you will need some backlinks also - don't be a stranger. Not having backlinks is like not having neighbors, this is a bad sign always.

Make content good number of internal links and try for the next technique add good quality backlinks

if it is sudden decrease in your blog traffic..try to use wordfence plugin to scan your website for any viruses or malware...and you are not getting traffic after writing articles try to get to backlinks through blog commenting or guesting posting....sometimes off page SEO techniques helps in increasing the blog performance in search engine.
