Websites other Then Blogs

Hi,
I have been reading a searching for hours now and all the posts that i read are related to SEO for blog sites. I have a webstore that i would like to increase traffic to how does the technique differ from blogs to websites. there is a article in here on SEO for wordpress newbies can i still use those steps?

It doesn't differ too much in my opinion. SEO is SEO - it works for everything including websites that are not blogs. Its the same concept but instead, you are doing SEO work on a website that is not a blog :]

also do comments on wordpress blogs as a backlink builder help with PR or does wordpress set all the links in comments as a no follow so they do not get indexed?
