Hello everyone,

I've been having this problem for quite a long time now(many months). I have several websites. They all were built to rank within a niche. Target keywords are/were (updates have passed, so things changed) easy. Yet, over the course of time, I have not seen any stable positioning within the top 100 for any of my keywords. The websites vary in content, some thin, others at least 10k words of content. Content is decent, not the best, but definitely well readable and 100% unique with images and videos included in most, if not all. SEO is not overoptimized and keyword density for all is max 2%, most of the time less.

The sites are not dancing a lot... sometimes they're around 160/200, sometimes 240/270... Sometimes n/a. The weird thing is, within bing/yahoo I got some top10 positions for the same keywords. Ive tried several strategies to get solid rankings again, like social signals, high PR links, the lot... nothing seems to change though.

Which one of you experts is tough enough to help out a fellow blackhatter?

Thanks for reading!

Its definitely harder to get in the top 100 nowadays when you're using the same tactics as pre panda/penguin. I think brand spanking new links on freshly created subdomains have less weight or pass less trust than they did back then.

Nowadays I treat my tier 1 sites like little babies, great content and diverse backlinks. No crap links.

I reuse web2.0s through different niches and it works good as long as its homepage to 1 link deep page where content is related to the niche I'm linking to. I'd rather have 50 links to 50 different niches on 1 web2.0 blog that has quality backlinks, than 50 different blogs created for 50 different niches and then abandoned never to be logged in again.

Create a bunch of quality web2.0s, don't worry whether content on them is all same niche, backlink diversely to these tier1 blogs and reuse them for all your ranking needs across your various niches.

edit ... guess I should define what I mean by no crap links to the web2.0s. All links you get should always be there, forever. Don't post to deindexed websites. Don't post to websites likely to become deindexed (crap non-moderated AMR article directory for instance). Wherever you post, do a site:domain.com on it to see how many pages it has indexed. If the site obviously has 50k+ posts and only 2k pages indexed, forget it. On the other hand, if the site has millions of pages indexed ... then you can feel safer that your link will remain indexed forever. No scrapebox comment spam that has hundreds/thousands posts on a blog page. You can see what I mean ... you want Google to show your link. If Google indexes your link ... yay. If Google doesn't index your link, its negative and pulling you down.

2nd edit ... constructing the web2.0s. The model HAS to be homepage of blog 1 link level deep to your article. HAS to be. No articles getting pushed to page 2. That means a web2.0 is good for promoting up to 20 things. It could promote 20 pages on 1 domain, or 20 different domains ... but thats all you get. Any article that gets pushed to page 2 is crap, might as well delete it. So that kind of negates myself above where I said I'd rather have 50 links from one blog instead of 50 web2.0s ... I mean like 20ish links.

i recommend building homepage links, guest posting links and private blog network links for tier1s..
and blast the tier1s with wikis etc..

build links at a constant rate...

for your tier2 and tier3, i recommend using gsa ser, xrumer, sb and cs..
it improves the indexation rate and link juices..

Google has made it much more difficult to rank niche sites now a days. Most likely tomorrow it will be even harder and more so the day after and day after that.

I have web 2.0s with many more posts than 20, is it really that bad when it gets pushed to page 2??? Also, if you have all your posts 1 level away from the homepage, do you allow the entire article to show on homepage or an excerpt? The reason I ask is because my tier 1 posts usually link back to a different page but oftentimes contain a second backlink to the homepage of my money site. If I show full post instead of excerpt, I would have a ton of links on the homepage all pointing to the same destination (my money site homepage).

This is my opinion, just based my own experiences.

There are many purposes you can use web2.0s for. You can use them for your actual money site. you can use them as a tier1, tier2, etc. Obviously there are dozens of ways to use them effectively or ineffectively.

I like to use web2.0s as high quality reusable tier1. They only get backlinks to the homepage of the blog. The homepage of the blog accumulates PR ... though visible PR hasn't updated in a long time so I couldn't tell you what all my blog's real PR is.

The blogs will have up to 20 posts on the homepage, some less ... I just don't go over 20 posts. Eventually if the homepage of the blog achieves PR4, its highly likely the 20 posts of the blog would be PR2 each.

Those 20 inner pages are the purpose of the blog. Each one reflects various niches of mine. I don't care if I mix and match niches on the blog ... the page itself is niche related to where I'm linking though. For instance, I might have 4 weight loss, 8 various clickbank products, 3 of another niche, 5 of another niche for the 20 total.

The reason I do it that way is for dividing authority/pr into niche-specific on the inner pages. My experience is that 20 PR2s will pass along more ranking effectiveness than a few links off one PR4 page.

The reason I don't push pages to page-2 is because that defeats the purpose of that model, because that article which is only linked from page 2 is now totally useless and does not pass along anywhere near the same ranking power it used to. This kind of thing is what causes Google dances.

What do I use to link to the blog? Often its a lot of other web2.0s. I don't care if pages get pushed to page 2 on that set of web2.0s. I only link to the blogs with links that I know are always going to be indexed by Google. Like site:blogspot.com there's 1.15 billion pages indexed ... chances are if you link with a blogger blog it'll always stay indexed, as one example.

I stay away from links of lower quality, like AMR crap article directories, pligg clones, forum profiles, etc. ... the tier1 doesn't get any links like that.
