Website with gibberish articles ranking in Google

Hey,

I found a website careerlancer (dot) net that has thousands of spun articles. It gets around 10k visitors from Google a month. I thought article spinning was only for PBN and you couldn't get any traffic from it. Has anyone done anything similar to this website?

I checked one article that’s ranking #1 and it read fairly well; didn’t appear to be spun.

Perhaps they have hand written content that’s supported by a percentage of spun articles?

Either that or they’re spinning and then manually editing to a fairly high standard.

I've read one article about the guitar tutor. It's readable but it's clear that it wasn't written by someone who actually plays guitar. What stood up is keyword density. Almost every paragraph starts with 'guitar tutor', to the point that it doesn't sound natural, it sounds as fake as it could get. Don't know how they can get away with it, if I had done what they did, I'd disappear from SERP for sure.

Googles new update is messy it shows categories sites don’t even have and then this hopefully it’ll get solved soon

More like a mix of spun & handwritten content pieces.

I also did a thread on this too so look at my post history. I've been noticing a lot of spammy articles ranking for very easy longtails or even medium level keywords. Most of the time I see the gibberish snippet article in the Serps but when I click it I get redirected.

Dating articles -----> dating or adult smartlink
Health articles- -----> nutra smartlink

And the thing is these sites are ranking for tons of easy easy keywords. I'm thinking that maybe they've got 1 or several expired domains (PBN) and they just edit the blog but I'm not sure where they are getting the spun content from.

A curious thing is if I click on the link too many times the CPA network might blacklist me and I'm able to see the gibberish content ibstead if the smartlink.

Someone should do a journey thread for autoblog with expired domains and scraped content and redirect it to a cpa offer.

Google is making a mess out of SERP for sure. And the worst thing is that I am seeing similar change in other Languages/countries, not just in the US. It happened a few days ago after the update on the 17th in the US so maybe this is the way to go for them. Maybe Google think that this update is fine.

Even if it is a spun site it can rank for the 1st place even for easy keyword. I have one website like this. I have created lots of spun website and all of them started rank good for a while and then fell.

If I am trying to rank for a high search volume keyword that is potentially difficult to rank, I would need to do a thorough analysis on all the potential secondary and long-tail keywords, which would mean that any content I create, would become a long-form content spanning in thousands of words, since there is a need to employ tens of keywords in an article to ensure that you are providing the best possible explanation on the said topic.

However, if you are trying to rank for a keyword which is a long-tail in itself, with very few associated keywords to target, you would simply have to come up with a much smaller article that simply satisfies the user query associated with that keyword and be done with it.

So yes, Word Count is not really a ranking factor. The best possible explanation for a keyword is. It just so happens that the explanation for a high search volume keywords spawns a lengthy writeup.
