In your experience what has brang better results for converting leads / roas wise and to what extent the results between the 2 varied
having a lead form on a website or using instant forms

Instant forms. Because people are not redirected to a random website which they may not trust.

The website works better because, at the very least, you can post more information about the product, reviews, videos, and so on there. The website is more informative than the form, but applications for the form will be cheaper, but the conversion rate to purchase is lower.

I have to partiually disagree with that. I used to work as salesman for IT hardware, Servers, storage, Switches etc, and you would have tpo get hold of IT managers to chat them up, these will never fill some form, if they have been on a landing page of a partner of say HP, or HP themselves, where "check this new server" etc, in that industry, these leads have absolutelly been better, you of course still need to ask them about their infra and renewal intervals , as they might be planning upfront, but very many have pain points where they are so frustrated they wanna change providers, this is the hook and theres no better ground zero than these product pages. if theres a form attached to that, even better.

That is how I had built my pipelines, it was truly a treasure, I would extract all the IT needs I knew when storage is due, when switches, what kind hypervisors are used, when they replace servers and which ones, maybe other industries are different but this high value item industry, a website visit is a far more qualified lead, and the lead generation items for sales of 20k usd+ cost like 350-500usd, just the lead, saying timeline, need, pain points, budget

I see, thanks for the input.

In your case, that makes sense and I gotta agree with you.

In my case I have personally always preferred instant forms and results have always been better with instant forms but I guess that depends on the niches.

On the Website, you have space to post more about the product. Review and give more information.

Most case (hard to say the exact splits but maybe 8 of 10 leads, broadly) Instant Forms would outperform website lead forms for pure volume and cost efficiency, particularly when your audience is cold or primarily mobile. Much of it is probs because Meta at large pre-fills as much as possible so there's that. Keeps people on-app too so you usually see higher conversion rates and better CPA (usually). Website forms can work well enough if your traffic is warm and you've optimised the page loads and form UX, that sort of thing. Still usually cost more per lead and still have a noticeable drop-off.

Instant form for niches where people would be impatient or not necessarily looking for your help. Website for the rest.

Have Tried Both website as well as instant forms. These both have their pros & Cons,

Instant form could get you Detailed info without any distraction

Where as for Website Its a bit Hard to do But You could get much more Inftomation then Instant form.

I prefer websites. Much better to convert people.

Instant forms will always drive more volume in terms of overall ROAS with less friction, while the quality of the leads is always going to be worse in the long run. Websites generate fewer leads, but leads are pre-qualified better, to the degree that they convert at a higher rate long-term. When it matters for LTV rather than CPL, website funnels are always better.

A hybrid approach often works best: use instant forms for top-of-funnel volume, then route high-intent traffic to a website form with stronger qualification. Speed to contact makes a bigger difference than the form itself

Instant forms tend to win on volume and cost per lead, while website forms win on conversion to actual sales. The difference in ROAS usually depends on how fast you follow up with those leads.

Instant Forms usually generate more leads at a lower CPL, but Website Forms deliver higher-quality leads, better close rates, and strong long-term ROAS — so if revenue is the priority, website forms typically win

In my experience, online forms allow you to collect detailed information without distractions. Using a website is more effective because information and customers are already filtered online, eliminating low-quality information or customers. If revenue is the top priority, website forms usually prevail.

Websites convert way better if the foundation is solid. I see so many high revenue contractors losing a lot of customers because of a simple broken site code or an error. Fixing those types of technical gaps can be a good way to boost ROAS

Depends tbh, instant forms usually bring more leads + cheaper CPL but the quality isn't great. web forms get less volume but convert better, so ROAS is usually higher

In my experience, instant forms usually bring cheaper leads and higher volume, but the quality can be mixed website forms tend to convert fewer people, but the leads are often more qualified, so ROAS can be better depending on the funnel
The gap really depends on how strong your landing page is — a good page can close that difference a lot
