Hello everyone, i'm confused can someone please help me understand whats happening...

This is my question when i check Google Search Console i see i see 34 indexed pages, but when i check all of the URLs on google in quotations 18 showed up.. and when i search for site:mysite i only see 15.
Can someone explain to me what's happening and how many pages are indexed now??

if a URL just got indexed, it might take some time to become visible for more general search queries.
 
It may not be ranking in your geo/device type etc. Can you see where the impressions are coming from?
 
The data given in GSC will be the most accurate you'll get from Google. site: searches will only ever show a subset of data.

I also noticed on some of the posts when i check the URL inside GSC URL is on google and also the button that says request indexing why is that? if i dont request it will it do it on its own?

You mean for all of the remaining posts that i have or?

What I meant was:-

- Post 5 - not indexed
- Post 8 - Indexed

Place your post 5 link inside the post 8 with relevant anchor text.

You can even include 2/3 internal post links in a single post.
 
Interlink those posts to improve visibility for crawlers
 
BTW you have only 35 pages. When the number is less the data sounds inaccurate.

Increase the number of posts / articles in your site and focus on building good quality backlinks. Pages will automatically show up in the GSC and in Google in due course of time.

Since you look too much bothered by the number of page indexed, let me tell you that one of my site has 1250 posts and the indexed pages are 2034. How is that possible? It is because Google considers 'tags' and other media as 'pages'. So once you start adding new posts/ articles along with new media and tags, etc., this number of indexed pages will automatically go up beyond your expectations.
 
Search engine generally don't show all the pages even if they are indexed. This is getting common these days than ever.

Please also check the pages indexation status in Google search console. Google show report about the pages which are having some issues, in search console. You should solve these pages error to index all the pages of website in Google.
