website title problem

I have started a website about year ago with no title in the head because I was unsure about the main keyword that I will target later. After some time I picked up my favorite KW and change it a few times.
The problem is that google don't want to get the new TITLE or if it gets it it reverse back the old one in a few days which cause big rank drop... The website have DA 24 PA 37 and FT 32 CF 36 and over 1 year registration with dozen of social media traffic so I can't assume google does not visit my website ... but I don't know what the hell is going on. It looks like google dance but it last already 6 months ...
I use custom script, now WP.
Any ideas ?

If you are using wordpress, I think you will have no problem in changing your title. But if you keep on changing it, Google will have difficulty in indexing your site. Give it a day or two to see the changes.

Give it a bit longer than a few days. Google likes to take its time with these things.

I use custom written website. I never used any ready CMS for my websites, only for seo farms.

Already a month and the title changes somehow automaticly to some phrases from the website ... its very strange. Sometimes it changes to the KW I want to target... never saw this happen before.

That's weird. Maybe Google indexed it. Try to resubmit it again.

If you have your site added to webmasters you can notify google about changes to your site, this might decrease the duration before google crawls your site again.

OP, your titles are too f'ing long most likely. Google quotes a max title length but the truth is if its anywhere near the max they tend not to use it. Short titles tend to display more often. Also if titles are not highly unique between pages they default to inner text. Few seem to know this.

Google has indexed your website ith the old name. Now if you change it, you rankings shouldn't drop because it's like a redirect. I mean in google shows your old name, but when you click it, it goes to your website with the updated name. This works only for the homepage, because if you change the url, then it would redirect to a 302 error. This is very rare, but it happens.

Or you just go to the helpdesk of Google Webmastertools. Got few times issues, Google didn't crawl my url's. Don't know what they did but fixed the problem specifically for my site....
