Website SEO

Hello all,

I have a facebook page that shows up top results on google search when I search for my "name" however my website does not on google but does on yahoo and the rest.

I have google webmaster tools and analytics installed on my website and the website is tagged.

The website gets about 30-100 visits a day. Is there anyway I can help boost this page? It has had over 4k visits total...

Anyone have any thoughts or suggestions?

I had this issue once before where my primary website wasn't ranking on the first page for my name.

What I'm wondering is what other websites appear on the first page SERPs for your name. The issue naturally corrected itself as my primary website became more popular, although this may take a bit long. If you want to rank faster for your name, you can always try procuring high quality inbound links for the page you want to rank for your name to boost its position in the SERPs.

Thanks for your reply! It is a little annoying haha. However my name has a "-" in it and it shows the name without the dash first. My site is not showing up on google at all at least not on the first several pages.

By that do you mean linking my website from my Facebook, etc? If so it already is.

You can use:

World money <---- landing page not baned <----- many backlinks

I am a newb at back links haha. Could you explain them real simply if you don't mind?

Is the page on your website optimised for your name with the dash or without the dash? If the dash isn't included on the page, add it.

Backlinks are just the URL of your website's page on other websites. When I said build backlinks, I meant copy the URL from your website and paste it on all of your profiles (Google+, Facebook, Ebay, etcetera) or buy quality do-follow inbound links if you want (not all backlinks are created equally, so make sure they aren't being spammed on low-quality websites).
