I was looking for a script for my site but I have no idea where to start. Lets say I wanted to add a chess script so users can play chess or a dictionary script where users can type in a word and see the definition. Could I add such scripts to a wordpress site ?

Search the plugins section of wordpress for those keywords and see what comes up. If nothing search google for wordpress chess plugin etc...

You will find most of the plugins you will need there...

Nothing I need is there actually. I'm not necessarily looking for a plugin (although that would be nice).
